Hi @Gargi10

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble accessing your HP laptop due to a forgotten PIN. Unfortunately, I can't directly assist with PIN recovery or access to your laptop. However, here are some steps you can try to regain access:

Use Password Instead of PIN:

  • On the login screen, if an option is available, click on "I forgot my PIN" or "Sign-in options."
  • Choose to sign in with your Microsoft account password instead of the PIN.

Reset PIN from Microsoft Account:

  • Go to the Microsoft Account website and sign in with your account credentials.
  • Once logged in, click on “Devices,” select your laptop, and choose the option to reset the PIN.

Reset Password via Microsoft Account:

  • If you cannot log in with your password, opt for password recovery by clicking "Forgot Password" on the login screen.
  • Follow the instructions sent to your recovery email or phone number.

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • You can try booting into Safe Mode and accessing user account settings to change the PIN.
  • Restart your computer and press the necessary function key (such as F8) to enter Safe Mode before Windows starts.

Last Resort: Reset This PC (Keep Files)

If nothing else works:

  1. From the recovery menu, choose Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
  2. Select Keep my files to preserve your data.
  3. Follow the prompts to reinstall Windows and set up a new PIN.

These options should help you locate a method to access your laptop again.
