Hi @Priya53835,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your NVIDIA GeForce 3050 graphics card not being detected on your Victus 16 gaming laptop. Here are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Check Device Manager:

  • Open Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Look under "Display adapters" to see if the NVIDIA card is listed. If it's there but grayed out, it might be disabled. Right-click and select "Enable device" if that option is available.
  • If it’s missing entirely, continue with the following steps.

Uninstall and Reinstall NVIDIA Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on your NVIDIA graphics card (if it appears) and choose "Uninstall device." Check the box to remove the driver software as well.
  • Restart your laptop.
  • Download and install the latest NVIDIA drivers from the NVIDIA website. Make sure to select the correct model and operating system.

Use Windows Update:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates. Sometimes Windows can find drivers that are compatible with your hardware.

BIOS Settings:

  • Ensure that the NVIDIA graphics card is enabled in the BIOS. Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F10, ESC, or DEL during boot). Look for settings related to graphics or video devices to ensure the NVIDIA card is enabled.

Windows Power Settings:

  • Sometimes, power settings can affect hardware detection. Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings. Look for "PCI Express" and set Link State Power Management to "Off."

Run Hardware Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Hardware and Devices, and run the troubleshooter to check for any hardware issues.

Check for Corrupted System Files:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command sfc /scannow. This command will check for and repair corrupted system files that may be causing the issue.

Update BIOS:

  • If all else fails, consider updating your BIOS to the latest version available on the HP support website. Make sure to follow the HP instructions carefully, as incorrect updates can cause further issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
