I have bought a new laptop. When i try to use the Touch Pad to copy and paste nothing happens.

My new laptop touch pad will noy copy and paste, it highlights the text i want to copy but when i right click on it to copy it it just clears the highlighting. Any ideas (I am a bit late in years and a technical numpty so you might have to dumb the answer down).

I am sorry to have wasted your time but i have fixed it...well my Technophobe grandson did.

For anyone with the same problem it is cured by going into Taps section, touch sensitivity click the box with -

"Tap with a single finger to single click".

Then at the bottom of the same section click the box

"Press the bottom right corner of the touchpad to right-click"
