Hi @gbreist ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP 'remote' mouse. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Yes, you can disable the touchpad on your HP Envy x360 to prevent it from conflicting with your external mouse. Here’s how:
Disable the Touchpad via Settings:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Select Touchpad from the list.
- Toggle the Touchpad switch to Off to disable it.
Using Device Manager:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices.
- Find your touchpad (it may be listed as an "HID-compliant touchpad" or "Synaptics/Elan touchpad").
- Right-click on the touchpad device and select Disable device.
Check for a Function Key:
- Some laptops have a keyboard shortcut to toggle the touchpad on and off. Look for a function key (often one of the F keys) with a touchpad icon. You can press Fn + that key to toggle the touchpad.
Once the touchpad is disabled, your external mouse should work without interference. Let me know if you run into any issues!
