To resolve the issue with the microphone not being shown in Messenger chats and the error code 43 in AMD, follow these steps:
Check the Microphone Connection
- Ensure that the microphone is properly connected to your laptop. If you are using an external microphone, try reconnecting it to ensure a secure connection.
Update Microphone Drivers
- Open the Device Manager by pressing Win + X and selecting Device Manager.
- Locate the "Sound, video and game controllers" category and expand it.
- Find your microphone in the list, right-click on it, and select "Update driver".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to search for and install the latest driver software.
Check Privacy Settings
- Open the Start menu and select Settings.
- Navigate to Privacy > Microphone.
- Ensure that microphone access for apps is enabled and that Messenger has permission to use the microphone.
Resolve Error Code 43
- Open Device Manager.
- Locate the device that is showing the error code 43, which is usually under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".
- Right-click on the problematic device and select "Uninstall device".
- Restart your laptop. This will reinstall the driver automatically.
Configure Microphone in Messenger
- Open Messenger and go to the settings of your chat or call.
- Look for audio settings and ensure the correct microphone is selected.
- Restart Messenger and check if the microphone appears.
