I had computer issues and signed up for monthly fee is this legit? HP PRODUCT SVC&RPR

"Legit" means,"Is this an HP publication?"

No, the name of the service is not HP nor it is an HP authorized provider.

A quick check using Google shows that you are not the only one to have been caught in this one.

 

Change your card (of course), consider changing your email (I know, no wants to do this), watch your bank statements.

 

If you wish to do so, REPORT the incident to your local authorities.  Reporting helps others.

 

 

HP does provide Tech-Alert publications - These are Free of charge.

For example, you can sign up for alerts for your computers / devices and / or subscribe to the monthly newsletter.

 

For those reading, 

Find bulletins / Notices that are relevant to your device

  • Subscribe to HP Alerts

Get connected with updates from HP

 

and / or

  • Check for information at your computer's support website

Open Support Home

Enter the name of your device

When the website support page opens, select Category Bulletins and Notices (wording may vary)
