Product: Pavilion Gaming laptop 16a-0032dx

Serial [Personal Information Removed]     I upgraded my ram to 16gb from 8gb and its capped at 2933Mhz and it says it should run at 3200Mhz. I checked the bios and could not find a solution and could not find anything memory related.

The product specs for your notebook indicates the max memory speed is 2933 MHz.

So does chapter 1 of the service manual...

DDR4-2933 dual-channel support (DDR4-3200 downgrade to 2933)

 

There is nothing wrong with the way the memory is working.
