Hello MarBetS, you have to look in the hot keys, the drawing like a stack with three or four lines facing up, is activated or deactivated by pressing the fn key + the key that I indicated.
It is the key next to volume mute in quick access.

Hello MarBetS, it's no pleasure to help. In some laptops they coincide, but in others the key changes, the backlight key is the one with the drawing of 3 points and 3 or 4 lines, it is similar to a battery.
