Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hello ! i have windows 10 64-bit. i want to install windows 7 on my windows 10 laptop. when i click custom install in setup.exe my drivers get deleted when the installation completes. as i had created a recovery drive, i rolled back to windows 10. in the setup of windows 7, there are two options, "CUSTOM (ADVANCED)" and "UPGRADE". the main question is "WHEN I CLICK UPGRADE WILL MY DRIVERS BE DELETED ?"

i have windows 10 64-bit hp laptop

pls help !

I am surprised you are being offered an Upgrade option -- as there is no way to do an in-place Downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 7. 

 

And, even if that runs, it will be a clean install and will remove everything from the PC.

 

Plus, an HP that comes with Win10 preloaded will not have Win7 drivers available -- so even if you are able to force Windows 7 onto it, you will not have the drivers needed for full operation of the hardware.
