Hi @PratapAps,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reactivate the pre-installed Microsoft Office that came with your HP Laptop 15s after formatting, you can follow these steps.
Check if Office is still available via HP Recovery
HP laptops that come with pre-installed Office (such as Office 365 or Office 2019) often include a recovery method to reinstall it.
- Open HP Recovery Manager:
- On your HP laptop, go to the Start Menu.
- Search for HP Recovery Manager.
- Open it and look for the option to reinstall software or restore pre-installed apps.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Office.
Check for a Digital License
Microsoft often provides a digital license for Office that is linked to your device. If your Office came with a subscription or a one-time activation, you may be able to sign in and reactivate it using your Microsoft account.
- Sign in to your Microsoft Account:
- Open any Office app (like Word or Excel) and go to File > Account.
- If Office prompts you to activate, sign in with the Microsoft account you used during the initial setup.
- Your Office should automatically reactivate if it’s linked to your account.
Use the Product Key
If your laptop came with a physical or digital product key, you can use it to activate Office after reinstalling it.
- Find the Product Key: If you received a product key, check the packaging or your email for it.
- Enter the Key: After reinstalling Office, follow the activation prompts to enter the product key.
Visit the Microsoft Office Website
If you can’t find the recovery options or product key, you can also visit the Microsoft Office support page to troubleshoot further and check if your Office license is still linked to your Microsoft account.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
