We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The Code 10 error for the I2C HID touchpad driver on your HP Notebook - 14s-cr2000tu after a software upgrade likely indicates a driver compatibility issue or a conflict. Here’s how you can fix it:
Restart Your Laptop
- Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve driver conflicts. Try restarting your laptop first.
Update or Reinstall the I2C HID Driver
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Human Interface Devices.
- Locate I2C HID Device (or something similar like HID-compliant touchpad).
- Right-click and choose Update driver → Search automatically for drivers.
- If the issue persists, try Uninstalling the driver:
- Right-click I2C HID Device → Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop.
- Windows should reinstall the correct driver automatically.
Manually Install the Latest Driver
- Go to HP’s official support website.
- Enter your model HP Notebook - 14s-cr2000tu.
- Look for Touchpad / I2C HID drivers.
- Download and install the latest driver.
- Restart your laptop and check if the touchpad works.
Enable I2C in BIOS (if disabled)
- Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (F10 key at startup).
- Look for Advanced Settings or Integrated Peripherals.
- Ensure I2C or HID devices are enabled.
- Save changes and exit.
Let me know if it works!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
