Not sure how those two suddenly appeared in as subfolders in my Documents Folder, but there they are - please tell me where to put them back and be super specific in giving me directions as I am a total novice (must be or this wouldn't have happened?), thank you very much

Hi,

These two folders are fine where they are, but they should be hidden from windows explorer - you can re-hide them as follows.

Right click the folder 1st folder you need to re-hide and select Properties.

Under the Attributes: heading, enter a checkmark in the Hidden box.

Click Apply and Ok.

Repeat this procedure for the 2nd folder.

I wish I knew how it happened.  The only new thing I did the other day is install a converter for epub files to doc, pdf, txt, etc.  I have uninstalled that, and don't appear to have any viruses (Aviva free version and Windows Defender).  Was it something I did?

Thank you for your fix, which has worked just fine.

Much appreciated.

Hi Ruth,

You're more than welcome :generic:

As to why this happened, unfortunately it would fall in to the same category as 'how long is a peice of string?'.  Sometimes installing or uninstalling programs will cause an unexpected change in the folder attributes, but this would be just one in a long list of possible culprits - fortunately though, this rarely happens.

All the best,
