Hp pavilion x360 m convertible, model: 14m-cd0003dx

Hi,

I just got my hp pavilion x360 m convertible, model: 14m-cd0003dx

If I want to enter '#', what appears is '£'

Meanwhile, there is no key on the keyboard that has the symbol '£'

Any help please on how to resolve this issue?

@Bobri

There are two distinctly different forms of English and each comes with their own different keyboard format.

British English uses the pound sign -- as it is a part of their currency system, and their keyboard has that.

American English does not use that -- even though nearly everyone in Americal calls "#" a "pound sign" -- which any Brit can tell you it is NOT.

Looks like what you wanted was a British English PC but what you bought was an American English PC.

What you can do is follow the instructions in this post to create the Pound Sign symbol manually:  https://www.alt-codes.net/pound_alt_code.php
