Hi, I am trying to get the infrared remote control working for my Pavilion dv6920ea. It is running Windows 10, 64 bit. The multimedia control bar above the keyboard works correctly, but the remote control does not. A picture of the remote control is attached. The batteries are new and I know the remote is working as I can see its infrared light flashing on a mobile camera. I guess this is something to do with Windows 10 drivers (the original operating system was Vista). Any help would be appreciated, many thanks.

Solved it. It was nothing to do with the Infrared receiver driver (device manager reports this as working correctly, although the driver dates from way back in 2007). Rather it was HP Hotkeys that was not installed. The Laptop was originally Vista 32 bit, but when I converted to 64 bit there is no upgrade path so I had installed Windows 10 64 bit from scratch. It seems HP hotkeys is something that has to be installed separately to make the remote work.

Although my laptop is a pavilion DV6000 series and not even listed on the above web page, the above HP hotkeys download did install and the remote is now working.
