@Erore_404, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The issue you're facing no drives detected during Windows 11 installation, happens because the Windows installation media often lacks the necessary storage controller drivers, such as Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) or VMD drivers.

Step 1: Prepare Installation Media

  1. On a working PC, download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft:
    Download Windows 11
  2. Use the tool to create a bootable USB drive.

Step 2: Download Storage Drivers

  1. Go to the Official HP® Support
  2. Enter your HP Notebook model number.
  3. Download the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) or Intel VMD driver under the “Storage” or “Driver-Chipset” section.
  4. Extract the downloaded driver files to a separate USB flash drive (or the same one used for Windows installation if space allows).

Step 3: Install Windows & Load Driver

  1. Insert the Windows installation USB into your HP Notebook and boot from it.
  2. Proceed with the installation until you reach the “Where do you want to install Windows?” screen.
  3. If no drives are listed, click “Load Driver”.
  4. Insert the USB containing the extracted IRST/VMD driver.
  5. Browse to the driver folder and select the appropriate .inf file.
  6. Once the driver loads, your storage drive should appear.
  7. Continue with the installation.

Step 4: BIOS Check (if needed)

If the drive still doesn’t appear:

  • Restart the laptop and enter BIOS (usually by pressing Esc or F10 during startup).
  • Go to Storage Configuration and ensure it's set to RAID or AHCI, depending on your driver.
  • Save changes and retry the installation.

HP PCs - No drives can be found during Windows 11 or Windows 10 installation (Intel 11th Generation ...

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
