HP Envy Laptop 17-ce1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

New laptop, Windows 10, McAfee trial installed. I prefer Malwarebytes, so I uninstalled McAfee and installed Malwarebytes Premium 4.0.4. It all works as it should except for one thing - the Support Assistant isn't seeing it. The "My Desktop" tab in the assistant indicates that I have no virus protection or network protection, even though Malwarebytes clearly provides this.

Any thoughts on how to correct this? I'm stumped.

HP Support Assistant only deals with stuff that is either HP or preinstalled by HP.

Since HP Support Assistant would not update MBAM anyway, you should just ignore the issue.

I wondered if that might be the case.  Sweetheart deals is what we used to call them.

Thanks for the good advice, @WAWood!
