Hello People,
Hope you all are safe,
I am currently a researcher, for some specific use case. I want to install Ubuntu on my laptop as some libraries are not supported on windows. How do I install that, I have heard that there is Secure boot which wont allow you to install ubuntu. Can someone guide me through.
Will it void my warranty if I install the ubuntu, and how do I revert back to windows once I am done with ubuntu

You could try using a Ubuntu Live edition to do what you want, without altering the install Windows. If that is out of the question, then the Ubuntu site has directions to dual boot along side of Windows. Once you are done with Ubuntu it can either be left installed or removed. Windows can be reinstalled fresh using the HP Cloud Recovery tool or a Windows 10 media.

I am not an HP employee and cannot advise on the warranty, but really do not think that it effect the warranty. As long as there are no need to make any hardware changes, software should not effect the warranty.
Typically OEM's do not warranty software or even offer help with that, but the forum does offer help. If you have a OS problem, they will advise to talk to Microsoft or the maker of the software. Therefore, I do not think it will have an effect on the warranty.
