Product: Pavillion DV7-1267CL
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since windows Vista is no longer supported, I am trying to upgrade the pc to windows 10. The PC does not recognized the Windows.ISO file. I tried booting the pc with it. My question has anybody successfully upgrade it to windows 10 or has anybody upgrade it to Windows 7?

There is no Upgrade path from Vista to Win10.  The oldest Windows OS that supports such an upgrade is Win7.

 

You should consider making a Win10 DVD and booting from that.

I had problem installing windows 10 on HP DV7 1267CL. Windows 10 cannot be installed directly to the computer. What I did, I took the HDD out and installed windows 10 swopping the HDD using a newer computer. After windows 10 was installed. I moved the HDD backed into the HP DV7 1267CL. It is now running on windows10 and now I can now use the computer again. The speed seems faster and I can use the web and stream movies again.
