What are the instructions for configuration after replacing the system board for an HP EliteBook 840 G4? Thanks!

@rerun7

In a nutshell, the procedure would be to:

1) Reinsert the system board into the laptop

2) reconnect all the leads to the system board

3) reinsert all the other components into the laptop

4) reconnect all the leads to those components

5) close up the case of the laptop

6) insert a USB stick containing the appropriate HP Recovery Media

7) Boot the PC from that Media and do a factory reset to reinstall the OS, drivers, and HP utilities

Here is a link to a Service Guide -- look at page 61 for information on the System Board and all the other things that need to be done (in reverse order):  http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05948732

As to hand-holding from here, we are not equipped to do that, sorry.
