Hi,
since the Windows 10 Creator's Update my Pavilion 15-p185ng has some issues with Intel Management Engine Interface. Booting is extremely slow (up to two minutes despite SSD) and I see the following events in the Windows Event Viewer:
Error: Intel(R) Management Engine Interface driver has failed to perform handshake with the Firmware
Warning: The Intel(R) Management Engine Interface is being disabled.
They occur roughly every 15 seconds, 5-6 times in a row.
I tried updating the Chipset drivers provided by HP for my model, but installation fails with a "Platform not supported." error. The current driver version is 11.0.0.1146.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Carina

Hi, @cpavlicek
Sorry that version didn't work.

Hi:
The only other suggestion I can offer would be to see if you can manually update the driver.
Go to the device manager.
Click to expand the System Devices category.
Scroll down and find the Intel Management Engine Interface device.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the last driver I posted.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp82472.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver updates that way.
Then restart the PC.
