My HP Pavilion 15 i7 was stolen last week. I am able to track my device with Windows 10 "Find my Device" feature. It is currently on the move in and around my suburb. I submitted this information to the police. They don't believe me! I am assuming that my device is in a moving car because the location changes every couple of minutes. Has anyone used this Windows 10 feature to track a laptop and how accurate have your results been?

Fascinating. The "moving" computer.
Sorry, I know you are freaking out - but that fact that the software "sees" your computer is encouraging.
Honestly, I don't know the extent that the service is accurate - and I don't know whether you will hear back in our Community with testimonial evidence.
This is a Windows feature that works in a Windows Operating System.
Try checking with Microsoft - you might even be able to get them on the phone - I don't use Microsoft Support all that often though they have been helpful in the past. ???

Good Luck.

Thank you Dragon-Fur. I did contact Microsoft Support and they are of the opinion that the "Find my Device" feature is accurate. So I put it to the test. I asked a friend to test the accuracy of the location of his device. He said it pinged him a location 1km away from where his device was located. His device was in his living room! So obviously not very accurate. Thank for your help.

You are welcome.
Interesting test result.
So, maybe your computer is wandering around within a kilometer of its presumed location.
Not ideal, of course.
Maybe this will at least convince the police that the system is "in the area" and if they do happen to go inside anywhere nearby, they could check. Meh. Laws protect thieves, sometimes.
Good Luck.
Stay Safe.
Remember: It is just a computer - you might have to "let it go" to stay safe and keep your family safe.
