Is it possible to connect an external portable cd / DVD rewriter Player to this device

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

 

My guess would be -- probably NOT.  Why?

 

Because the only specs I could find on that model showed only a USB-C connector, and I seriously doubt you will find an external CD/DVD unit that has the complementary cable.

I don't know what is your external CD/DVD but I connect my external Pioneer CD/DVD BlueRay burner to USB-C port using the following adaper

And it works.

Hi

As far as i am aware no USB-C dvd drive is available. But i do know last year some wireless DVD writers were on the market which would simply connect via wirless. This could be a solution for you for you and they were not that much more expensive than a standard version, just larger in size.
