The only means I can find of illuminating the keyboard keys is by pressing a function key.  However, the illumination discontinues after several seconds.  Is it possible to make changes to the software to enable permanent illumination of the keys for as long as the computer is turned on and in use?

Sadly, no suggestions, no interest.  Thanks anyway.

Thank you.  I am grateful for your advice and have attempted to follow the steps provided on the link.
Unfortunately, after having opened BIOS, and having explored all of the available options, I could find no 'Advanced' tab.
I also searched through all options available for 'Built-in Device Options' without success, and no sign anywhere for 'Backlit Keyboard Timeout'.
Perhaps that would suggest that there is no option to change the backlight timeout on this model.
Nevertheless, I'd like to thank you for the advice you have offered.
