I have cyberlink power media player and power director that came with my laptop. An update deleted power director so I downloaded it again, but media player shows it still is registered. Hp website shows I can update them. But I had gotten a new laptop and am trying to figure out if I need to transfer software and data to it. I cannot get support from the phone line without paying. Can anyone help here? Perhaps someone from hp?

Note: Media player has a different title, but I would like to find this out. The original versions came with the computer. Cyberlink had asked for a Ureg file  that was in a specific directory according to their instructions, but not on my computer. I would like to see if HP has any support for this, as that is why Cyberlink wants me to do. However, my current system is past the warranty. I understand that, but I only want to know if I can transfer the registration. It is odd that media player does not show the registry on Cyberlink's website, but it does on my computer. I know it came with this computer, and it shows on HP's driver and software downloads that it can be updated. Both of them do, but power director does not show that it is registered.

Someone at a local computer repair store that had limited external DVD drives said that if i use the new computer though, that their drives download a software. I don't know much about that. I know that Windows Media Player has not proved reliable in the past. I was thinking that since i purchased the first computer, and it has problems sometimes, that if i need to transfer everything, if some support agent can tell me if OEM software from Cyberlink can be transfered. Cyberlink is not helping me. Their initial reply asked me to provide information and ask HP Support, but all i can do is ask here. I know that I used to get support from HP here. If anyone from HP is available, please let me know. I am skeptical even if some software will work on updated Windows 10 on a new laptop.
