How can i limit the battery charge to 80% because most battery manufacturers recommend charging the battery till 80-85% for better battery life? Is there any software like Lenovo Vantage which stopped the charging on 80% in Battery Conservation Mode automatically for better battery life as Lenovo.

Hi @Aman151,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To limit the battery charge to 80% on an HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC, you'll typically need to use dedicated software provided by HP or built-in settings within your operating system. HP laptops generally do not have a built-in feature or software similar to Lenovo Vantage's Battery Conservation Mode.
However, there are a few alternative methods you can consider:
- HP Command Center (if available): Some HP laptops come with the HP Command Center pre-installed. This software may offer features for optimizing performance and battery usage. Check if your laptop has this software installed, and if it offers any battery management options.
- Windows Power Plan: Windows operating systems often have power plans that can help manage battery usage. While these plans may not directly limit the battery charge to a specific percentage, they can optimize power usage to extend battery life. You can access these power plans by going to "Control Panel" > "Hardware and Sound" > "Power Options" and selecting the desired power plan.
- Manual Monitoring: You can manually monitor your battery charging and unplug the charger once it reaches around 80%. This method requires regular attention but can be effective in extending battery lifespan.
It's essential to note that while keeping the battery level between 20% and 80% can potentially prolong its lifespan, the convenience of having a fully charged battery might outweigh the benefits of such strict management for some users. Always weigh the trade-offs and choose the method that best suits your needs.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
