HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 (4V9X9AV)

My laptop doesn't let me open any installed app unless it's from Microsoft Store, which has little to nothing that I'm looking for, and I don't really want to leave S Mode just to use the apps I want to use, especially since there's no going back. Is there any other way, or should I just turn off S Mode?

Your only option if you want to install apps not found at the Microsoft Store would be to switch out of S-Mode:

There may be a way to go back to S-Mode if you ever need to, but it would require you to factory reset the notebook using recovery media you create with the HP cloud recovery tool:
