Product: Pavilion dv6000
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP
In the process of installing drivers for my legacy Pavilion, one of the drivers was for HP Update, and when it looks for updates it pulls up a software utility install. Sadly when I try to download it it always fails. Is there any other way to get the utility, and if I did would it still work?

Hi:
That utility has been retired...
HP PCs, Printers - HP Update Software is Retired (Windows) | HP® Customer Support
HP has retired support for the dv6000 model series as it is more than 10 years old, so no drivers or updates are available from HP.
