There is a new update "HP Consumer Desktop / Notebook PC ME Firmware Update" available, yet it seems it can be only ran from Windows, and there is no USB drive option (like with BIOS updates):

Is there any way to run it from DOS (without having to do it in Windows)?

This is the BIOS update, I rather talking about ME firmware (a separate chipset?).

 There is no option to update the Firmware using the USB, you can only update BIOS using USB.
