Just Purchased this computer at best buy. The lighted keyboard times out way to quickly. I enjoy working in the early mornings so this is an issue for me. Looking at other posts this task seems to be difficult on other HP models. I find it hard to believe  this cannot be accomplished on a $1600.00 HP flagship computer. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. My 4 year old Dell allows me to do this. I understand battery life but I should be the decision maker on this task.

So I checked and there is no adjustment in the BIOS. Chatted with support and was told "NO ADJUSTMENT" They stated that there was no adjustment because of battery usage. I mean, I get it, marketing is everything. Less light, more battery. Good selling point VERY BAD IMPLEMENTATION. This is my computer, I should reasobably be able to customize it so it better suits my needs. 95% of the time I have access to power so I want to keep my back light on, I should have control of this .It is just plain dumb!!!!!!!  I guess HP is more worried about people not knowing about how to adjust the keyboard for performance than me thinking of returning a beautiful computer for lack of this feature.

How do you pass this kind of stuff up the pipeline. I doubt it will do any good but it will make me feel better. I checked for 3rd party solutions and there are noe. What's nect not screen brightness adjustment. I mean I can adjust when my screen goes dark so why not the keyboard. Keep marketing and sles away from development!!!!
