I’m experiencing an issue with my HP OMEN Gaming Laptop 16-wd0000ci (model 81C39EA) when connecting a multi-port adapter (model UHCL2303-007) to the USB Type-C port. I keep receiving notifications that a USB device is not recognized, even though the HDMI connection for a second monitor works fine. This notification appears every 5-10 seconds and is quite annoying. Additionally, when I try to shut down the laptop via the Start menu, it doesn’t turn off completely (the screen goes black but the laptop stays on). However, if I disconnect the multi-port adapter, the laptop shuts down properly.

Does anyone know how to resolve these issues? I’m running Windows 11, version 23H2. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The device is not recognized by windows 11 even though it works.

I had the same problem, every 10-15 seconds  hear a beep and when looking at the device manager I see a warning show up then after a few seconds it disappears and 10 second later it re-appears.

Bring up the device manager and when you see the warning show up, quickly use the mouse or trackpad to select the device and disable it.

It will then show up (see above) as an unknown device and the beeping will stop.

If the device no longer work then all you can do is replace it with one that is recognized by windows.
