It turns off when you unplug the device. It has been a few months since I bought the device and it does not work on battery, and I encounter a different problem every month.

Thank you for your reply,
If your HP Victus 15 fb0008nt laptop is consistently turning off when unplugged and not working on battery power, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are troubleshooting steps you can follow:
Check Power Settings:
- Go to "Settings" on your Windows 11.
- Select "System" and then click on "Power & sleep" from the left sidebar.
- Make sure that the settings under "On battery power, turn off after" are appropriately configured. You may want to set it to a higher value or select "Never" for both "On battery" and "Plugged in" options.
Battery Health Check:
- Run a battery health check to ensure that the battery is functioning properly. You can do this through the HP Support Assistant or by accessing the BIOS/UEFI during startup.
- In the BIOS/UEFI, look for a battery health or diagnostics option.
Update Drivers:
- Ensure that all your device drivers, especially the battery and power-related drivers, are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager or HP Support Assistant.
BIOS/UEFI Update:
- Check if there are any BIOS/UEFI updates available for your laptop on the HP support website. Sometimes, firmware updates can address power-related issues.
Power Plan:
- Go to "Control Panel" > "Power Options" and make sure the selected power plan is suitable for battery usage. Consider using the "Balanced" or "Power Saver" plan when on battery.
Battery Calibration:
- If possible, perform a battery calibration. This involves fully charging the battery and then allowing it to discharge completely. Follow the HP instructions or use HP Support Assistant if available.
Check for Software Issues:
- Sometimes, third-party software or background processes can cause power-related problems. Ensure your system is free from malware and unnecessary background processes.
Hardware Inspection:
- If the issue persists, it could be a hardware problem. Consider reaching out to HP support or taking the laptop to an authorized service center for a thorough inspection.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
