Bought my latest model HP spectre x360 convertible laptop 2 weeks ago. around a week ago I upgraded to windows 11, everything worked fine for a while. Then yesterday my keyboard and touchpad stopped working after a windows update (I assume the reason for this was that my laptop was being detected as folded backwards. so windows automatically switched to tablet mode disabling the keyboard and touchpad) I tried everything to solve the issue, including: updating and reinstalling the drivers, restoring default setting from the BIOS, resetting my computer and finally restoring to windows 10. This didn't resolve my issues but added to them as my touchscreen also stopped working after the windows 10 restoration, with windows telling me that my computer doesn't even have a touch screen when I tried troubleshooting the issue. I know that the hardware works, my keyboard lights up during boot up and can be used in bios, but the keyboard lights turn off and my keyboard seems to deactivate just before the start screen. I'm typing this at 3 am using an external mouse, clicking on the letters of the visual keyboard. this is infuriating and has made me lose so much precious time and energy while I have so much work to do... If I pay 1500 euros for a notebook It's because I expected it to reliably work past 2 weeks!
