Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with my HP EliteBook 840 G6. The keyboard has the backlight icon on the F9 key, which usually indicates that the keyboard supports backlighting. However, the backlight function is not working.

I have tried all the standard keyboard shortcuts (Fn + F9, Fn + Space, etc.), but the keyboard remains unlit. I also checked in BIOS and Windows settings, but there is no option to enable or control the keyboard backlight.

Additionally, in Windows Device Manager and related system tools, the keyboard does not appear to be recognized as a backlit model. I have installed all available drivers and updates, including HP Hotkey Support and the latest BIOS.

Could you please advise whether this is a compatibility issue with Windows 11 or if there is another way to detect or activate the keyboard backlight?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,
ELMIRI AZEDDINE
