I have a update “HP Keyboard Standard 101/102 Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard for HP Hotkey Support” that will not upload.  I click Download and Install, it shows that it is downloaded in my Update History, but the update still remains in the Driver Update queue.  This is preventing me from downloading my Secure Remote Worker software because of the “Update” still showing.  How can I remove this update from my queue?

Hi:

I had the same thing happen to me too.

I tried it a few times and gave up, concluding that the driver was not for my notebook (HP 255 G7).

Hotkey software is normally used in the HP business class notebooks, not the consumer class ones.

To not have that update show up again, run the Hide Windows Updates utility that you can download from the link below.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3073930/how-to-temporarily-prevent-a-driver-update-from-rei...

Download the first file listed for Version 1607 and later.

The utility will run, and you should see that problematic hotkey driver update listed.

Check the box to hide the update and then exit out of the troubleshooter.

Whenever you want to unhide an update, run the troubleshooter again and uncheck the box for the update you want to install.
