Can you help me? I have an HP X360 1030 G2 laptop with a 7th Gen i5 CPU. The keyboard and touchpad on my laptop don't work when the lid is closed, while the screen remains on. Typically, the screen will turn off or the laptop will go into sleep mode.

I suspect this issue is caused by tablet mode or a sensor located in the hinge area, or perhaps a Hall sensor. When I fold the laptop to an angle of about 190°–360°, the keyboard and touchpad stop working. However, when I open the screen again to an angle between 90°–180°, they both work normally again.

The main problem occurs when the laptop lid is closed. In this state, the keyboard and touchpad don't work, even after I open the screen again to about 90°. Furthermore, when in the BIOS/UEFI, this issue can occur.

This issue can be temporarily resolved by pressing and holding the power button for 10–15 seconds to force a restart. However, this solution is quite frustrating because it has to be done repeatedly. Even during the boot process, I have to press and hold the power button for 10–15 seconds due to the same issue. I've updated the drivers, BIOS/UEFI, and searched the internet, but the issue hasn't been resolved. Please help.
