HI,

I have got Elitebook 840 G8 notebook recently. does it support keyboard backlit? I don't see backlit icon in any of the function keys given + there are couple of function keys without any icon / blank for personalized configuration.

I primarily wanted to know whether my notebook support keyboard backlit? if yes, how to enable it?

pls help..

thanks

Ramki

Hello

backlit keyboard is not standard.

it could be that your notebook was build without it.

Usually backlit function key is F9. if you don't see any icon it means your notebook doen't have such technology.

Hi

Thanks for the clarification.

there is no icon in F9 key and it's blank.

It's pity that G6 notebook had backlid and the latest G8 version not!

thanks.

Hello

840 G8 could have a backlit keyboard if such option is included in the unit.

I guess most of the 840 G8 will be build with Backlit Keyboard.

bye
