Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So when i restart my laptop i can login but as soon as i get into windows i can no longer use my keyboard, fn and F keys will work but nothing else, any info would be great.

 

Ive tried deleting the keyboard driver and restarting, check hp assistant for drivers amd windows is fully up to date.

As workaround conntect external <USB wired> keyboard.

 

Let me check your current system configuration.

 

(1) Run    msinfo32

- Select <System Summary>:

(1) Connect external <USB wired> keyboard as workaround

 

(2) Create Windows system <restore point>

(3) Download and install / update

(4) Restart Windows, login and wait a few minutes

(5) Shutdown Windows ( No Sleep / No Hibernate )

(6Disconnect charger

(7Press and hold <power> button for 30 seconds

(8Connect charger

(9) Disconnect external <USB wired> keyboard

(10) Power on notebook

(11) Please report your results

External keyboard does not type, i plugged it in and it lights up but when i try to type it does nothing, if i fully power off and turn on i can type long enough to sign in after that nothing

 

I plan on factory resetting pc as there is nothung important on the drive to see if there is any difference
