Hi @Destinybowers98,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your computer keys are not working.

Here are the step-by-step solutions to regain access:

Immediate Fixes (At Login Screen)

  • Toggle Num Lock: Look for a key labeled Num Lock or NumLk and press it once. If you are on a laptop, you may need to hold the Fn key while pressing Num Lock (e.g., Fn + NumLk).

  • Use On-Screen Keyboard:

    1. Click the Ease of Access icon (looks like a clock or gear) in the bottom-right corner of the login screen.

    2. Select On-Screen Keyboard.

    3. Use your mouse to click the letters to enter your password.

  • Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off your computer completely. Unplug all USB devices, hold the power button down for 15-30 seconds, then plug back in and restart.

  • Try an External Keyboard: Plug in a USB keyboard to log in if your laptop keyboard is faulty.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
