I recently bought a Laptop  HP  14” (RYZEN) . I  sometimes use shortcut keys to write foreign accents and bought a numeric key pad so I can  do this on my laptop on occasions. I have not yet been able to find the equivalent of the Num lock I used on my previous computer in order to activate this facility. It just types numbers so far.

Does anyone know how I could find the Num lock equivalent or a way to make this happen?

Would be most grateful for any thoughts.

Hi @Jude51,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you need help with your Laptop  HP  14” Notebook PC. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

If there is no NUM lock on the keyboard, then you will be able to turn on the NUM lock using the on-screen keyboard.

Please refer to this document: HP Notebook PCs - Enable Number Lock with the On-Screen Keyboard

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
