Hi, I have a laptop OMEN 17CB1002NA and was pretty happy with it till recently. Since some time the laptop feels really slow, so slow that I thought I have a hardware issue, but the diagnostic found noting, even the extensive one that is run on startup.
When started fresh the laptops feels ok, then I start to work, which brings the memory usage to 80-90%+, and at this point the laptop starts to lag and is very slow even when I close all programs and bring the memory usage down. How slow - starting the Task Manager via right-click on the Taskbar takes around 6 seconds and is displayed in 2 phases - first completely empty (on the 6th second) and then the content appears after 1 or 2 more seconds.
I have removed unused programs and also stopped some programs to autostart, like Google Drive, but this does not seem to help much.
I believe this behavior started a week ago when several programs crashed with out of memory and the laptop needed to be restarted. Since then it behaves as described above.
Bios and drivers are updated, Windows as well. Not sure what to check/do next... and ideas are highly appreciated.
Best
