Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I need help. My 2 month old laptop is lagging too much whenever it reaches 20% battery. I checked the task manager and no applications are running that warrants the sheer amount of lag. Plugging in the charger does not fix the issue. I have at least 332gb of free space so I don't think its the storage and I have a 16gb ram unit so I don't think it's the ram as well. I've also followed some of the steps that hp support assistant have told  me to do and it still does not fix the issue. Restarting and Shutting Down also does not fix the issue, while restarting or shutting down I can still feel the lag.

I think it might be the operating system, but I'm not sure. (scanning the os using the hp support assistant yields a "no issue" result). All of my drivers and OS is up-to-date.

This problem happened very recently and I have experienced it 2 times. For the first time that it happened, it just randomly went back to normal after leaving it. The only conclusion that I can make is I should not let it reach 20%.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi, @RanTo did your laptop come with Windows 11 pre-installed or you upgraded it to Windows 11.

Yes, as soon as I booted it up from the box.

I am having this feeling that it may be the operating system that is causing this challenge. Windows 11 from my observation has been known to have hardware issues.

However, since the laptop is still new, you could use your warranty to have it repaired or replaced.
