Not sure

Trying to reset to factory settings. Got stuck at 66%. Now it won’t restart properly, have to turn off and on manually. I am able to press escape button to bring me to a new menus but that is all. I also get an error message when I click f11 to try to reset again. If I just leave it then hp just flashes... please help as I’m meant to be giving this to a friend in 6 days!!

Hi:

If your notebook was made in 2016 or later, it may be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility.  You will need another Windows PC, and a 32 GB USB flash drive for this...

If your notebook is not supported by the cloud recovery tool, I will need to know the full model number or product number of your notebook in order to see what other options you have to get it working again.

Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number...
