From the last 2 days, i m getting a strange error. Whenever i reboot my laptop, time automatically changes and lags behind by almost 4 hours. When i change it, it stays normal until i reboot. i don't quite understand what's wrong with the settings. Any suggestions on how to remove this troublesome error?

Hi,

When you right click on the clock icon in lower left of desktopand click on "Adjust date time" are the settings corrrect? Is it set to automatically? Do you have the correct time zone?

Try seeing if the correct time is set in BIOS. Once you press the power button, continously press ESC until startup menu appears then press F10 to enter BIOS. See if correct time is set.

If the problem continues and the BIOS time keeps changing when you remove power from the PC, you might need to replace the RTC battery.

Let me know,

David
