My relatively new laptop will not download or open any apps from the Microsoft Store. As of today, it will not even open the store itself, or settings. I have tried the following:

  1. Cleared my cache and restarted the device.
  2. Run a system file check, which came back saying there were no issues found.
  3. Ensured my account has administrative privileges.
  4. Repaired Microsoft Store in Settings (back when they would open).

I know it's not related to S Mode, because all of the apps in question are from the Microsoft Store. I've had issues with this device also not opening any files that were originally from my previous device, whether it was a corruption issue or simply because I need to download the photo app from the store to access the file, and it won't allow me to download.

Open PowerShell as administrator (search for it in Start, right-click, select "Run as administrator"). Run these commands one by one, pressing Enter after each:

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"}

wsreset.exe

Restart your laptop

In the same admin PowerShell, run:

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

Restart your laptop and check
