Hi all,
I have a HP Pavilion DV6700
PN: KN047EA#ABU
Model: DV6710EA
I need the latest BIOS that was released for it and all the latest drivers, mostly the Nvidia graphics drivers and the chipset drivers, as for some reason the product does not show up on your support site.
TIA!

You're very welcome.
There is no workaround. You will need to install Vista.
Here is the info file for the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook...
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52001-52500/sp52477.html
Here is the exe file...
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52001-52500/sp52477.exe
There are only Vista drivers for your model.
After you update the BIOS and get W10 reinstalled, you will have to manually install the Vista chipset and graphics drivers.
Chipset (this installs the coprocessor driver). Run the below file. It will most likely not install the coprocessor device automatically.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37501-38000/sp37730.exe
Go to the device manager. Click on the coprocessor device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the driver. That folder should be located in C:\SWSetup\sp37730.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install. Then restart the PC.
Graphics...first download and install this free file utility. The 2nd link at the top of the page is for 64 bit.
Download and save, but do not run this graphics driver file.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp42501-43000/sp42635.exe
After you saved the file, right click on it, and select 7-zip from the list of items on the menu.
Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp42635).
Once that is done, go to the device manager, click to expand the display adapters device manager category.
Click on the Microsoft basic display adapter listed there.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that 7-zip created.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install. Then restart the PC.
Audio:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp40001-40500/sp40170.exe
SD card reader: I have zipped up and attached the file you need for that below. Download, unzip and run the file.
If there are any other drivers you need, let me know.
W10 should install most of the other ones automatically.

Hi:
What operating system are you running on there?
You cannot update the BIOS on models such as yours with the nVidia chipset and AMD processors unless you are running Windows Vista.
If you try to update the BIOS on that model when running W7 or newer, that results in turning your notebook into an expensive paperweight.

Thanks for the details and links.
All has gone smoothly and now back onto Win10.
Also FYI the audio driver is supplied by Win10 already, so was unneeded as was 7-Zip as the graphics driver self extracts so I let it do it's thing and then installed the driver manually just as needed.
Hopefully this thread will help anyone else out with the same model.
