Hello,

The call Button on my keyboard works and serves it purpose by answering and ending the calls. However The Green and red light on the keys do not work. It worked before i had done a clean install of windows. I downloaded all the HP Hotkey and collaboration software as well as a BIOS.

Thanks in advance.

@mjav1

Did you reinstall the HP drivers for your PC?

Doing a clean-install from other than HP OEM version will NOT install any HP drivers -- and that is most likely the issue.

The only things i had installed from the website https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-x360-1030-g2/14169372?_td_pid=1&utm_so...  was the HP Notebook System BIOS Update (P80), HP Collaboration Keyboard Software, HP Hotkey Support - UWP. Is there any other specific software/drivers i may have missed?

You should check to see if there are chipset drivers as well.

I have installed all the 8 Chipset drivers but the green and red light on the call buttons has still not appeared.

Then I suggest you consider resetting it using the HP Cloud Recovery option.

You can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.

I have tried to reset my laptop using the HP cloud recovery tool but it continuously gives me an error that my product ID is invalid, can i just reset my laptop through the windows recovery settings?

You can certainly try -- but it's likely that is not going to work.  If it does not, you need to look into ordering HP Recovery Media.

HP Recovery Media is a set of DVDs and a CD, or USB stick, that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, settings, and applications, reinstall the original OS, drivers, and some HP Utilities.

In some cases, you may be able to order a USB stick instead of disks. You have to order these from HP; they can not be downloaded.

You can look online for Recovery Media starting with the linked paged: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, input your Product name or number. On your Software and Drivers Download page, select your Operating System and and Version. Click "Update".

If HP Recovery Media is available for your machine, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for Order Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click the "+" symbol to expand that entry and click on Order Media for details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Support.
