My HP laptop model 15db1028au doesn't have any option in the BIOS to limit the battery charge at anything lower than 100%, even after I updated the BIOS. There's no Adaptive Battery Optimization, there's no Advanced tab or anything like that, there's no Battery Care Function, there's nothing like any of that. I can't find a single way to limit the battery charge that is even available on my laptop. Can someone please help.

Welcome to HP Support Community.

I understand that you want to limit the battery charge in BIOS, I am glad to assist you.

There is no such option to limit the battery charge in your laptop.

However, if your system has Power Management Options, then select the drop-down for Battery Health Manager and select Maximize my battery health. This setting maximizes the battery health by lowering the maximum battery charge level to 80%.

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
