Hi! I am trying to use a linux distro on my HP Spectre x360 13-4116dx, but have had trouble with hardware compatibility. I have been able to boot Ubuntu (v26) and Fedora (v43) but each time the keyboard and touchpad have not been responsive. I have been able to use an external mouse and keyboard with these distros, but would rather use a distro that is compatible with the hardware. The keyboard and touchpad are (I believe) run via Synaptics drivers which may be where the issues are, but I am not an expert in this.

Does anyone know a distro that is compatible with this laptop's hardware? I will be trying Mint Cinnamon and will update if that works.

Thanks!

Go for Mint Cinnamon. Try Mint Cinnamon live mode first, not just install mode, so you can confirm whether the internal keyboard/touchpad work before committing to disk.
