I'm reaching out to inquire about the availability of Linux wifi drivers for the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7902 chipset. I'm interested in using this chipset on a Linux-based system, specifically Ubuntu, but I haven't been able to find Linux drivers. My Laptop is Hp laptop 15-fd0012ne and OS is Ubuntu 24.04 LTS but not able to install wifi drivers

HP only supports your notebook for Windows and would not have any Linux drivers for any of the hardware it comes with.

 

Doing a search on the internet, there does not appear to be Linux driver support for the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7902 as of two months ago.

My recommendation would be to follow the news on the above forum for the latest developments.
