HP Pavilion 15-n019wm Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Greetings,

I have an HP Pavilion laptop. The original software installed was Windows 8 - 64 bit.  I upgraded to Windows 10 Home version when it came available.  I am trying to find if Adobe was included in the preinstalled Windows 8 software package and if so, what  version it was.

I have been on HP's site with no luck.  I thought it was included but I don't have it in my list of current programs.  I would like to find out what it was and then install it from Adobe.

Any help or ideas where to locate this information is appreciated.

TIA,

Michelle

Hi, Michelle:

Below is the link to the product specs for your notebook.

It has the list of software that came with your notebook.

I don't see that Adobe was on the list of included software.

If you just need the acrobat reader program, you can download it from the link below.

Paul, Thank you for the link to the list of software.  I had found a different spec sheet but it wasn't as detailed.  Appreciated the fast response.

I had been to Adobe in the past and installed the Adobe that saved to the cloud.  At the time it was the latest update.  There was something about it I didn't like and I uninstalled it.  When I went to go back to my prior version of Adobe it wasn't there.  So I was thinking it was a preinstall.

Thank you for your help.

You're very welcome, Michelle.

Microsoft Edge will also automatically open PDF files as well, so there isn't even a need to install Adobe.

I have been so bull headed that I stuck with Google Chrome and never gave Edge a chance.  I will do that now.  You may have just saved me some space.  Thanks again.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

I have Adobe installed on a couple of old PCs that I upgraded to W10 from older operating systems and Adobe keeps updating so I also have no idea what the original version was when I first installed it.

I initially didn't like the Edge opening Adobe files feature but now I have no problem with it at all, and most of my PC's no longer have Adobe installed.

If I have to clean install Windows on the PC's that currently have Adobe reader installed, I won't reinstall it.
